Wheel Words - 10 minutes

Today we played a game of wheel words. It helps us with our learning and our thinking. It always help me with my vocabulary. And you can also learn and find new words. We had 10 minutes to try and figure out as many words as you can with the letter in the middles. My middle letter was E. I managed to find out 13 words all together. I recommended this game for little children to learn.

Decimal Maths

Today I created a DLO showing how I solve Decimals question. The question I solved was 7.7 + 62.6. The answer was 9.4. This shows how to solve decimal equations easily by using addition and subtraction. Using this strategy is really easy to do because you just need to use addition and subtraction, I enjoyed learning this strategy. I am looking forward to use the new strategy.

Read theory

This reading theory image shows you my progress on read theory. Read theory is a reading site that helps me develop mine reading knowledge. First you need to read a text and then answer some questions. If you get a answer wrong you will stay on your current level, but if you get everything right you will move a level up. My goal is to achieve my reading skills and go to grade 6 and 8

Tech Food - Hawaiian Pizza

This week Mrs Tuipolotu instructed us to construct our own Hawaiian pizza with our partner. To start, the first person received our pizza bread and spread the tomato paste on top of the bread. While they were doing that the second person then diced the ham, onion, and chicken. When everything was chop,  we spread all the ingredients on the pizza bread. But before we did that we spread the tomato pastry and lay it out on the pizza bread. Once we added all the ingredients we put it in the oven , to bake for 15 minutes, and the oven pre -
heated to 180 degrees.

Sky Tower Trip

Today LS2 and LS1 went on a trip to experience the Sky Tower. We went to the Sky City. We just didn't go to the sky tower to just have fun but we also went to experience different structures. We are also learning about structures and bridges this term in Inquiry. It was my first time being at the sky tower, and i think it was fabulous. I learnt a lot about the sky tower.  I would like say a very big thank you to a kind gentlemen named Douglas Bates, who kindly donated money to our school for room 5, Ls1, and Ls2 to go experience the sky tower. So it is a pleasure to thank you for your kindness. Did you Know? The sky tower weighs 60 thousand elephants. And the sky tower is 220 meters high. We were lucky to go for free if it wasn't for Douglas Bates. I would also like thank Mrs Anderson, Ms Kirkpatrick, Ms Linda, and Mr Dobson.
