Tech Reflection - Decorative Letters|Names
We are three weeks into our new orientation at Tamaki College and we have finished our name art. They are different because we did them in decorative letters for example instead of writing an 'I' I did a candle. Mr Pineda (Tech teacher) has laminated it for us and they look great. I drew some patterns from my culture because it is my culture.

Tech Reflection - Charity Box Vocab Saying
For the past few weeks Ms Kirkpatrick's inquiry group have been constructing their bridges out of spaghetti pasta. In the beginning everything was pretty easy until the weeks started flying by and the assignment was nearly due. It was also difficult because of the limited supplies. The limited supplies forced all the groups to trade with one and other to get the project done.Zane,Coreef and I built a cantilever bridge that was only able to hold one brick. The original design was to difficult to execute so we simplified it. If we had added more triangles or cross braces our bridge would have been able to hold more bricks. The total span of our bridge was 42 centimetres making it the second longest bridge. Sanujan, Jack, and Jericho had constructed a bridge that was able to hold six bricks in total. It was hilarious to see the bridges break and some of the designs were amazing. Personally I think that we had the best looking bridge and was only rivalled by Nyjah's. This has taught me that we should always look at strengthening the deck and to never become an architec

Tech - Food
Today was our first time cooking a savoury dish with Mrs Tuipolotu. Today Miki and I made twelve ham and cheese quiche. Firstly Miki cut the pastry into twelve and put them into a muffin tray, then we diced the ham finely and added the grated cheese and the ham into our pastry. After that we whisked the eggs and milk then poured the liquid mixture over all the quiches. Lastly we set the temperature of the oven to 180 degrees and cooked it for 15 minutes. I really enjoyed cooking today because we are now cooking a variety of different cooking techniques and dishes. Ir was very hard because we were doing the ingredients, and trying to look at the oven so it will the right temperature.
A slice of ham
Cheese (grated)
4 eggs
1/2 cup of milk.
Preheat the oven to 180

First Tech session
Today at school,Ls2 went to tech by bus, which was held at tamaki college. This was my first time going to something fun like this. There was three groups, year eight b, year eight a, and there was one group with all the year sevens,my group was year eight b. My group did art at tech and surely everyone had fun and a great time. So what we did in art was naming all the things you see everyday, and trying to find out the symbol of it, like what does it represent. So i did my family and naming what they represent, for an example i represent the oldest sibiling. After that we were about to present our work but we didin't get time to do it, but we still have next week to present it. Even though we didint get time to present, we still had fun. Mrs Anderson was actually right, it was fun. So it was time to go back to school for morning tea. So we were the bus and blast off we went back home.
